Safety coordinator
All safety aspects at the plant are coordinated and controlled by the safety and health coordinator (SHC), who is responsible for adapting safety and health plans for projects and stoppages in cooperation with the customers and contractors. This is done in a practical manner and on a project-related basis to ensure that each project or stoppage can be worked through quickly and reliably. In addition, the safety coordinator updates the coordination diary for the duration of the project or stoppage.

  • Safety coordinator as per BGVA 1 § 6 (optional)
  • SCC 1und SCC 2 (general safety regulations for contractors)
  • Special safety guidelines for fire and gas guards
  • Instructed in the use of personal protective equipment
  • Instructed in the use of gas detection instruments (measuring instruments and flow meters)
  • Instructed in the use of fire extinguishers
  • Qualified in first aid
  • Communication in the event of prevent and corrective actions
  • Monitoring, e.g. in the event of unsafe activities
  • Creating reporting structures
Duties:
In the preparatory phase, the safety coordinator performs the risk analysis and assessment. He/she draws up a safety concept for the duration of the stoppage / turnaround, and the necessary instructions for the tasks still to be carried out. He/she prepares, coordinates and controls the various duties/activities.
